Phil Bush, "Lebanon Weatherize, an effort that will be coordinated through Vital Communities beginning early next year that will focus on providing energy audits at a very low $100 cost and then encouraging families to contract with local contractors who are part of the program to get work done (not usually of the "do it yourself" buttoning up type).  Some might qualify for a rebate administered through the local utility."

Rotary Club of Lebanon's Speech Contest with KUA Students
 
Three students from KUA prepared and delivered speeches emphasizing, "Make a Difference by applying Rotary’s 4-Way Test".
 
Carlos was the winner of the contest.  He is from Spain,  He spoke about Global Warming and how we each have a role to play by using renewable energy resources.

  • The Rotary Club of Lebanon, inducted a new member, John Merrill. Classification—Real Estate (Sothaby's).  Welcome to Rotary!

  • Linda Copp announced that on Saturday at the Dance Studio on the Mall in Lebanon, her Master's dance class will perform a premier dance based on  Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai's talk she gave at the United Nation.  It dance will be at 1 PM on Saturday, 1/20.  All are invited.  To read about the choreographer, Mary Ann Lamb a Broadway performer, click here
 
 
  • February 1, 2018 - The 2018 Brewfest Committee will meet at 5:00 PM at Steve Whitman's Conference Room, 2nd floor.  Steve's building is on Water Street in Lebanon in the building just before Central Supply.  More volunteers are welcome to attend.
 
  • Change is Weekly Meeting Schedule Change.  In February, all meeting will be on THURSDAY.  MARK YOU CALENDARS!

  • Service Projects - Update from Bruce Bergeron
    • Check your e-mail message for a doodle to sign up to help at the Listen Community Dinners in 2018.
    • First Grade Reader forms are being distributed to parents of first graders in Lebanon.  Once we get the forms back, books will be prepared for distribution in late April or May.  Rotary Club of Lebanon encouraged to think about funding books for the Mascoma School District.
